Today, I will have a look at CBT as the second step in order to get UKRN after English requirement. CBT is computer based test which contains 120 questions to be answered within 4hours. Pass mark is 68% for adult nursing according to nmc booklet.
오늘은 CBT에 대해서 이야기해보겠습니다. 총 120문제를 4시간동안 풀 수 있고 성인간호기준 68%이상이면 패스입니다. 솔직히 4시간까지 필요하지 않고 중간에 휴게실로 나가서 커피도 한잔하고 돌아오는 분위기더라구요. 물론 핸드폰은 락커에 있죠.

시험비는 130£이고 위의 홈페이지로 들어가서 등록 후 시험장소와 날짜를 신청하면 됩니다.
If you graduate from a South Korean university , you will have to choose adult nursing among these categories below.
• Adult nursing
• Children’s nursing
• Learning disabilities nursing
• Mental health nursing
For instance, even though you have experience in only such as Mental hospital, you would choose Adult nursing. Because in UK and Ireland, curriculums are different in each nursing. But it’s the best to enquiry NMC to make sure. I saw one of my colleagues who have worked in NICU (Neonatal intensive care unit) for the last 8 years, but she is still taking adult nursing test.
NMC에 직접 문의하시는게 제일 좋은 방법이겟지만 영국과 아일랜드는 커리큘럼 자체가 다르기 대문에 아무리 한국에서 소아과, 정신과 등 특수파트에서 일했다하더라도 보통 성인강호로 들어갑니다. 같이 일하는 필리피노 간호사도 중동에서 소아중환자실 NICU 8년 경력인데 성인간호로 시험을 쳤더라구요.

위의 홈페이지는 NMC에서 내놓은 CBT에 관한 팜플렛이고 NMC에서 CBT를 치기전에 꼭 봐야한다는 the code입니다. 보시면 아시겠지만 윤리강령, 간호사로서 윤리기준, 책임감 등등에 관한 이야기입니다.
As I was one of the candidates, I would say that CBT is 80% of delegation, resposibilities and policy about UKRN, and 20% of general nursing knowledge. So I would say one month of study time is enough since I needed the time to have a look at all information and even general reading took me long time as non-native speaker.
엔클렉스와 다른 점은 간호지식에 관한 문제는 적은 편입니다. 예를 들어, 중국 출신 환자가 병원식을 거부하고 집에서 사온 음식을 먹으려고 한다. 어떻게 할래? 등의 문화적 차이의 이해를 요구하는 그런 문제들이 많이 나옵니다. 다만 영어를 읽는데 시간이 걸리고 저 the code를 한번 읽어보는것도 상당한 시간을 요구하기에.. 공부시간 한달이라 말씀드리고 싶어요!
What I did to pass CBT, I read the code and other information on nmc website, and tried to understand them generally. Then, I studied the questions provided on this website. You need to pay for them, but it’s worth it. I found so many similar questions in real test.

저는 먼저 the code를 읽어보앗고 시간이 허락하는 선에서 nmc 홈페이지에 있는 신규간호사를 위한 기준, 성인간호사 등등 읽어보려 노력하였습니다. 그리고 위의 홈페이지에서 문제들을 풀어보았습니다. 유료지만 꽤나 비슷한 문제를 실제 시험에서 많이 보앗기 대문에 추천드립니다.
그냥 잡이야기로 왜 간호지식보다 윤리강령, 타문화 이해 등등 의 문제가 많을까 생각해보았는데 일단 런던만 해도 정말 인종이 다양합니다. 환자들도 미국, 자메이카, 인도, 시리아, 케냐, 프랑스 등등 상상 이상이고, 동료들 또한 정말 전세계에서 모였어요. 그리고 마약, 술 등등 중독 addiction, depression 문제 정말 심각합니다. 한국에서는 트라마돌, 수면제 마약으로 안치잖아요. 영국도 병원마다 다르지만 워낙에 일자리를 옮겨다니는 에이전시 널스들도 많고 약을 훔쳐먹는? 간호사들도 있기에 control drugs라고 해서 약을 옮길 때도 환자에게 줄 때도 꼭 두명의 간호사가 싸인합니다. 아티반(로라제팜) 주사 준비해놓고 스테이션에 던지고 가는 그런 일은 상상도 할 수 없다며….
