For this post, I want to talk about the documents you need to submit. I would say that this step is the hardest one since what you can do is just waiting after submitting.

이번에는 서류준비에 대해 이야기해보겠습니다. 미국처럼 공증을 받아서 수표를 보내고 뭐 어쩌고 그럴 필요 없습니다. 들리는 말로는 모든 서류를 인터넷으로 업로드 가능하다고 하는데 제가 했을 때는 일부 서류는 직접 보냈어야했어요 미국처럼, 학교에서 그리고 보건복지부에서요.

Having passed CBT, you need now to pay the NMC application fee on the website. After signing in and going through the payment, you can start to upload required documents. The picture above is about invoices I paid to NMC, only to NMC! (so except fees for IELTS, CBT and OSCE).

FYI, Initial Registration Fee is when you finish all process which is after OSCE.

CBT를 치고 나서는 이제 NMC 홈페이지에 가서 회원가입을 하신 후에 application 시작을 위해 돈을 지불해야합니다. 돈부터 내고 시작…… 위에 사진은 제가 NMC에 낸 영수증인데요. 물론 IELTS, CBT, OSCE는 따로 입니다. Initial Registration Fee라고 적힌 것은 OSCE까지 다 친 후 에 PIN NUMBER를 받기위해 내는 돈입니다.

Required documents to upload on NMC website are:

• Passport
• Birth Certificate
• Police clearance
• Proof of qualifications 
• 2 Employee references
• Declaration of good health from GP
• Transcript of training from Ministry of Health and Welfare 
• Verification form from your nursing school

필요한 서류를 살펴보자면

• 여권
• 출생증명서 (한국은 출생증명서가 없으므로, 가족증명서와 기본증명서를 같이 내면 됩니다.)
• 범죄기록증명서 (혹시 다른 나라에 지난 10년간 6개월 이상 거주하였다면 그 나라의 범죄기록 증명서도 내야합니다. 저 같은 경우는 아일랜드것도 냈어요.)
• 간호면허증
• 추천서 2개 (저는 한국에서 하나, 아일랜드 하나 팀장님들께 받았는데요, 혹시 병원경력이 없거나 한군데라면 교수님 추천서도 가능합니다.)
• 건강증명서? (저는 아일랜드 GP에서 받아서 냈는데 한국은 결핵증명서, 워홀갈때 내는 서류와 비슷한 서류를 내면 된다고 하더라구요)
• 보건복지부에서 직접 간호면허증이 있다는 서류를 NMC로 보내야합니다. (서류를 홈페이지에서 뽑아서 보건복지부로 돈과 함께 보냈어요)
• 아카데믹 증명서, 출신 대학교에서 어떤 수업을 몇시간, 실습은 몇시간 했는데 미국 서류와 비슷하게 직접 NMC로 보내야 합니다. (똑같이 서류를 홈페이지 뽑아서 학과사무실로 보냈습니다.)

As you can see from the picture above, these are all steps you need to complete. Submitting documents: “Full application & assessment”.

위의 사진과 같이 full application & assessment 단계가 서류제출 단계입니다.

If documents you have submitted are considered not sufficient to verify your identity, you will get an email from NMC asking additional documents. I would say that It would take up to 5-6 weeks once you submit them.

보낸 서류가 불충분한 경우 NMC에서 직접 메일 보내 다른 서류를 더 제출하라고 합니다. 일단 서류를 제출하며 보통 5-6주 정도 걸리는 것 같아요.
